Transportation Management Associations

Guidance on Transportation Services

New Jersey’s eight regional Transportation Management Associations (TMAs) provide guides to transportation in their service areas. TMAs can help residents navigate through a range of mobility options including services provided by municipalities, counties, local non-profit providers, private bus carriers and NJ TRANSIT. Some provide classes related to transportation, and some provide information by municipality. Many municipalities provide older residents with transport via a van or small bus. Information about these services often can be found through the municipal Office on Aging.

Several of the TMAs offer training opportunities related to transportation and emerging vehicle technologies.
